Now Teaching in Sacramento!
We are happy to announce that we are bringing our Qigong classes back to Sacramento starting in December. I will be teaching at the Creative Healing Arts Center which is on Arden between Fulton and Morse - it’s a really great place and I’m looking forward to it.
There will be two classes - 9am and 10am – every first and second Saturday of the month, starting next weekend (December 5th). There will also be workshops starting in January, including a Qigong for Sleep workshop, a Natural Breathing workshop, and others.
I am also able to move my private lessons and sessions to the Creative Healing Arts Center as well, so for anyone who is interested in the Qigong for Sleep private teachings or private Qigong lessons, we will be having those there as well.
Click here for a Google map of the center, but also see the image below – the center is the 3rd building back off the street:

Good Day Sacramento Appearance
We were honored to be invited to spread the word about Qigong on KOVR Channel 31’s Good Day Sacramento Show on Sunday, September 10th. Big thanks to Melanie and Lisa for coming down with me!
Private Lessons
We have done a number of private lessons over the years, and it’s a great way to get personalized training. Since everybody’s style is different, a private lesson allows you to ask questions and learn in your own way. We can focus on any aspect of the practice, whether it be stress reduction, improved digestion or spiritual awareness. Contact us to schedule a private lesson – we are available during the week and on weekends.
Training Videos
We have resources to help you learn Qigong. If you want to learn the movements we do in class at your own pace, check out our Qigong for Health video. Feedback from my students is that this DVD is relaxing and easy to follow, a perfect way to begin learning.
Qigong for Health is the first DVD video in our series designed to teach you the core movements of qigong practice. Included are exercises to release stress, improve circulation and gently stretch your entire body. This low-impact routine is suitable for all ages. Remember, you should always look to relax and let go a little more each time you practice, so remember this each time you work with the DVD video.
Click on the “DVDs” link above to find out more information about our DVD videos. Sign up for our newsletter to the right to stay up to date on the latest training and receive our monthly newsletter.
In case you didn’t know, benefits of regular Tai Chi and Qigong practice include:
- More energy
- Improved immune system
- Better sleep
- Increased focus in your everyday life
- Improved digestion and weight loss
- Increased spiritual awareness
And the above is only a partial list. One way to think of Qigong is “The Science of Optimizing Health and Increasing Human Potential”, and when you practice regularly you can bring your body into a state of optimum health and open up states of being you didn’t know existed.
If you have any questions about our class, contact our teacher, Alex Race, at 888.328.0409 or email him at info@sacramentoqigong.com.
