Regular classes have resumed, I am teaching at Cynthia’s Dance Center in Folsom. Classes are from 1pm - 2pm. The address is 304 S. Lexington Drive, Folsom, CA 95630. The Center is in the middle of the plaza next to a salon called “Mi Salon”. It’s a great place to train and hope to see you there.
Please note there will be NO CLASS on Saturday, June 20, 2009. If you were really really looking forward to class, here’s what you can do:
Find a local park and set yourself up in a nice, quiet spot.
Practice the Opening the Channels set, using all the movements you can remember, and focusing on simply relaxing and enjoying nature.
Practice any Qigong movements you can remember, even if it’s only 1. Don’t worry if you can’t remember alot of the movements, it’s better you practice one or two movements and begin to understand them really well.
The only way to truly learn the practice is to work with it on your own, so take this opportunity to explore Qigong for yourself. You will feel great!
Training Videos
We have resources to help you learn Qigong. If you want to learn the movements we do in class at your own pace, check out our Qigong for Health video. Feedback from my students is that this DVD is relaxing and easy to follow, a perfect way to begin learning.
Qigong for Health is the first DVD video in our series designed to teach you the core movements of qigong practice. Included are exercises to release stress, improve circulation and gently stretch your entire body. This low-impact routine is suitable for all ages. Remember, you should always look to relax and let go a little more each time you practice, so remember this each time you work with the DVD video.

In case you didn’t know, benefits of regular Tai Chi and Qigong practice include:
- More energy
- Improved immune system
- Better sleep
- Increased focus in your everyday life
- Improved digestion and weight loss
- Better sex life
- Increased spiritual awareness
And the above is only a partial list. One way to think of Qigong is “The Science of Optimizing Health and Increasing Human Potential”, and when you practice regularly you can bring your body into a state of optimum health and open up states of being you didn’t know existed.
