5 – Red Dragon Parts the Sea

This movement does multiple things. First, it builds up energy in the dantien, generating strength and courage. It is also used to expel excess fire from the heart and any other place in the body that has excessive Yang (or hot) energy. It works well to dispell negative energy as well.
In this exercise, you may exhale out the mouth during your 3rd through 6th repetitions of this movement. This helps to forcefully expel excess fire and negativity.
When you inhale, feel your belly expand out and take a nice deep breath (through your nose). Feel your Qi build up around the dantien.
To close the exercise, practice the movement inhaling and exhaling through the nose once again to bring yourself back into balance. Try not
